Debojit Saha is an Indian-Bengali singer who shot to fame after wowing one and all on Zee TV’s premier show Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Challenge 2005. He was placed in Ismail Darbar's Yalgaar Ho Gharana .He gained public attention by going through the initial rounds by being chosen by the judges. In the final 12, he was only in the bottom three once. On February 24, 2006, he was announced the winner of Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Challenge 2005.

Post the show, Saha was looking forward to sing in Assamese films. Plus he is busy shooting for Zee TV Bangla’s Sa Re Ga Ma, where he is the host. Simultaneously, he is singing at various concerts and practising a lot to improve his singing skills.
With immense popularity and assignments galore came Star Plus’ offer. He was selected as one of the contestants of Jo Jeeta Wohi Superstar, a singing competition on Star Plus channel and represented the Champions team. He was among the top five finalists but was eliminated on July 04, 2008. 


Televisioin, it seems, loves Debo (as he is affectionately called) and can’t do without him. Post Jo Jeeta Wohi Superstar he was given an exciting offer of being one of the inmates in the new season of Bigg Boss on new entertaianment channel Colors. He is one of the 14 celebrities in the house and has shown time and again that he is a very good natured and consistent contestant of the show. Although tipped to win, he was eliminated on October 24, 2008. 

He has numerous stage shows on his plate and is going to tour the US, UK and Canada. A series of 25 shows are lined up at the moment some of which are in his native place of Assam where he is immensely excited to perform.  


Bollywood play back singing isn’t that far a destination either. He has lent his voice in bollywood movie 88 Antop Hill and has already recorded for Bappi Lahiri for Cabaret and a song with Vineet for Himesh Reshammiya. He may also work with Pritam for a Mukesh Bhatt film.

His solo album ‘Debojit’ has received tremendous accolades. How could it not, what with them being penned by famous lyricist Sameer and composed by Biddu!

He has an educational qualification of a Diploma in Civil Engineering.
He has been to the US for a show along with Saif Ali Khan, Sushmita Sen, Preity Zinta and Celina Jaitley.
He takes classical music lessons from Deepak Bhattacharya and Amarendra Chakraborty in Silchar.
Ismail darbar and Mehboob have specially written some of the songs in his album.  
Debojit and his wife Vandana had their first child Dhanika.
He was also a participant in STAR Plus's show Music Ka Maha Muqqabla on the Team Shaan's Strikers.
